Cutler & Gross was founded in 1969 by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross while still at university. The duo opened their first optical store on 16 Knightsbridge Green, where Tony Gross began designing the brands’ first handcrafted frames. As time went by the their Knightsbridge workshop became a center for true bespoke eye-wear consultation, and the Cutler & Gross brand became a by-word for quality and fine craftsmanship. Every step of the manufacturing process is done by hand, and remains so to this day. As Tony Gross once said, “My idea of design is a bit old-fashioned. It should be practical, functional then look good – in that order”

Today, the brand continues to grow and expand through exciting collaborations with some of the world’s most celebrated designers.
